My submission this week for the Emotography Showcase.

Houses all along this 6 lane road have been purchased so the road can be widened even further. The bulldozers have flattened the other houses, businesses etc all along the road but the owners of this one are holding out. I can’t imagine how they are managing with the constant noise, day and night. It’s inevitable they will eventually have to move.

I’m a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, auntie and friend. I prefer to be outside and am interested in photography, nature and different cultures. I believe everything on this earth has a right to be here but some things and some people would be happiest if their space was far away from mine. (Flies and biting bugs take note!) I don’t like housework and think dust is Nature’s way of saying, “This is my space, I was here first.”

I would hate to be in that situation!Obviously an Australian man’s home is NOT his castle in this circumstance. {Well if he had a draw bridge it might help}
I hope they find another house they learn to love as much, preferably far away from all major roads.
Sad.
Life must be so difficult for them.
I think it would be heartbreaking when you’ve spent years making your home the way you want it and the reality is they’re unlikely to find a similar house for the money they’ll be paid. The house though is right beside a major arterial road and most people simply wouldn’t want to live there, maybe they’ve become immune to noise which is why they’ve been able to ignore the demolitions going on all around them.
