Blue-banded Bees are Australian natives and they act like normal bees on speed, for me to get a nice clear photo this afternoon was a real treat.
Month: October 2015
Careful
I don’t usually think of animals as being careful but this Eastern Spinebill certainly had to be very careful to get its long, curved beak down to the nectar in this small, tubular flower.
(Extra)ordinary
What could be more ordinary than a fly? Not much until you look at their features then you discover they’re extraordinary after all. Just check out the feet! The Cabbage White Butterfly has no fancy markings and no fancy colours but it’s still extraordinary.

Happy Place
When I saw the topic for this week’s challenge I quickly realized my happy place is just about anywhere OUTSIDE. My photos were taken this morning as I walked about a happy place.
Boundaries
My post is late this week because we’ve been beyond the boundary of Internet connection. We were pushing against our own boundaries while driving on tracks as part of “4WD Octoberfest 2015” near Peterborough, South Australia.
