Weekly Photo Challenge: Unexpected

After seeing a scarecrow a lady had built in her Retirement Village back garden I was inspired to make one myself. I sat mine in a cane chair looking straight ahead so when I saw her facing sideways some days later I was taken aback, it was completely unexpected. Freaky even! Although I understand that it’s just the wind forcing her head to turn her bamboo “spine” I still turn her to face forwards when I am out near her.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Habit

When I’m out and about anywhere I have a habit of picking up feathers, they fascinate me. I now have quite a collection but not arranged in albums accompanied by identifying bird names, just stuck in a variety of pots. I also have picked up shells and put those in pots so maybe sticking things in pots is another habit of mine!

This is a photo of an original photo taken in 1871 of my Great Great Grandfather . The original photo has faded and lost definition to become almost ghostly. Maybe a true representation of the man himself. Quite eerie, I think.
