Last night we decided to check out a street where residents have illuminated their homes in the hope of raising money for a children’s charity. There were certainly plenty of potential donors.

So many little Skinks about just now I caught this one just deciding whether or not to ascend the tree.

I love these cheeky pigs as well as the cheek of the sculptor and officials who decided it was preferable to have pigs fossicking about in the capital city’s main pedestrian thoroughfare rather than a statue of some serious dignitary.

This past week it’s been difficult for me to take a photo suggesting serenity. Yesterday, after finding my way through the mad throngs of parents, carers, siblings and students when delivering my grandchild for her last orientation visit, it was a relief to walk back out the gate and absorb this serene environment.
