I have to admit this one is from my archives. There was a group of Pelicans near the jetty at Milang, South Australia and we soon discovered why. It was the spot where the fishermen came to clean their catch & from the fish’s eye it looks like it’s still capable of thinking, “Oh No!!!!”
This machine was a birthday present for my daughter. The lady we bought it from was so funny, I think she would have liked to slap our hands as we touched it but she can rest easy, we’ve looked after it. The bobbin is shaped like a little rocket. Although it’s my daughter’s I’m the “custodian”.
This one is not quite what it seems, it’s modern enough, or old enough, to have a tape deck in one side just depends on your perception.
I’m not the quilter, a friend whipped this up so quickly when my first grandchild was born and when my grand-daughter was old enough we enjoyed many moments searching for different animals. The quilt could probably be the source of an A-Z Challenge all on its own.
I remembered seeing these as a kid so when I found this one in a funny little shop somewhere in country Yorke Peninsula I couldn’t resist it…….. not that I feel compelled to buy everything from my childhood.
