As I snapped away at a wasp which was at the bottom of the nest I was unaware of this one near the top, I’m glad my focus moved to it before it went into attack mode.
Using my macro lens meant I had only a narrow band clearly in focus.
Black and White is the suggestion for this Macro Moments challenge but I can’t bear to remove all the colour.
This week’s challenge is to photograph an inanimate object. I’ve chosen a little Worry Doll brooch, it’s about 1″ or 2.5 cms high.
The photo is taken with a Panasonic Lumix, DMC-TZ60 in Macro mode.
Another macro for the Macro Moments Challenge, this time a fungus I thought had wonderful subtle colouring. The texture looks like velvet.

My entry in the Week 3 Macro Moments Challenge: I don’t know what the bug is but to me it has a distinctive bat-like appearance.
