Little Marion

Around the streets of Marion, Adelaide, South Australia you will find five adorable little sculptures called ‘Little Marion’. These pieces of street art were created by local sculptor Gerry McMahon and are based on the stories of Margaret Western and her recollections of her childhood in the Marion district. The book itself is called “Yesterday’s Child”.

Today we took a bike ride and came across the 1st “Little Marion” looking pensively along the horrible concrete Sturt River drain.  Maybe one day it will be restored to a nice riverbank environment.

So, what do you think?
