WPC: Cheeky

I love these cheeky pigs as well as the cheek of the sculptor and officials who decided it was preferable to have pigs fossicking about in the capital city’s main pedestrian thoroughfare rather than a statue of some serious dignitary.

I’m a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, auntie and friend. I prefer to be outside and am interested in photography, nature and different cultures. I believe everything on this earth has a right to be here but some things and some people would be happiest if their space was far away from mine. (Flies and biting bugs take note!) I don’t like housework and think dust is Nature’s way of saying, “This is my space, I was here first.”

      1. I actually emigrated to Australia in 1971, a month after I graduated from college. I taught in Wollongong for a year and a half. I then went traveling and did not go back until 2004. One of my former roommates was living in Adelaide, so I spent a few weeks there as well as visiting other parts of Australia. I loved Adelaide and points south–the wine country.

      1. I’m very fond of sculptures. Every two years there is a workshop here in the Adelaide Hills and sculptors come from across the world to create sponsored works. After the symposium you can drive the Sculpture Trail and see them in situ in various small towns.

So, what do you think?
