I have to admit this one is from my archives. There was a group of Pelicans near the jetty at Milang, South Australia and we soon discovered why. It was the spot where the fishermen came to clean their catch & from the fish’s eye it looks like it’s still capable of thinking, “Oh No!!!!”

I’m a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, auntie and friend. I prefer to be outside and am interested in photography, nature and different cultures. I believe everything on this earth has a right to be here but some things and some people would be happiest if their space was far away from mine. (Flies and biting bugs take note!) I don’t like housework and think dust is Nature’s way of saying, “This is my space, I was here first.”

Wow, perfect picture!
Thanks for commenting. I was stoked when I managed to capture the moment, I guess luck was with me.
Best shot in this challenge yet!
Well thanks for that! 🙂
Brilliant capture. 😀
Marvellous catch! I can’t stop looking at it!
I have to admit I have looked at it quite a bit, still can’t reconcile the expression on the fish head and the fact it has no body left.
Great capture, I see why you pulled it from your archives.
Perfectly caught! You and the pelican!
Outstanding. Absolutely outstanding, photo!
The expression on the fish! You can just hear it thinking “oh no!”
I agree and the weird thing is it’s already lost it’s body guess that wasn’t as traumatic as heading down a Pelican’s gullet!
Fantastic catch… for both you and the pelican!
Thanks so much everyone for the lovely comments.

Having all the elements that make up this excellent capture come together under superb lighting conditions is no small feat. It takes great skill, very, very good work.
